The goals of The Stichting (foundation) World and universal academy is to promote: fine arts, cinema, culture and peace in the world by the regular organization of international competitions and by the teaching of arts and culture.
In partnership with the company WUACADEMIA, the World and Universal Academy foundation organizes competitions in all the artistic domains: architecture, sculpture, painting, dance, music, poetry, film, television, comic strips, martial arts, folklore tales, circus, theatre, novel, short stories and finally the photographic art.
Our competitions have an international character. This is why we require the authors to translate their works in either English, French, Spanish or Dutch. And if possible in all the four languages.
For the authors, the advantage of these competitions is not financial but of moral. In participating in these competitions, you involve yourself in the voice of progress. And also if you win in your category, you will definitely enjoy a sense of pride and of achievement.
For a lot of people, these competitions are the ideal manner that could enable them to finally finish a novel, a screenplay or any other work of art that were never finished.
In all our competitions, we opted for a system of popular and democratic jury. The vote is going to be cast by the Internet users, but the contestants, are not legible to vote.
The results of the competitions will be announced in December, 2007. The prize-giving will take place in the Netherlands on May 7th, 2008 during the first world and universal Festival of the arts and the culture in Groningen. The presence of the prize-winners during the prize award winning ceremony is of utmost importance.
We chose the date of May seventh because the first academy of the history were created on 7th May. Plato, the inventor of this Academy was born on 7th May 429 B.C. And Socrates, the instructor of Plato, was condemned to death on the 7th of May 399 B.C.
During the world and universal Festival of arts and culture in Groningen, the " World and Universal Academy " foundation and the WUACADEMIA company will award the following prizes:
