The Diary

Casey Callahan was a teenager girl, who had many things going on in her life. She had to question life, god, and the reason she was who she was. She also questioned why life was hard. Along with this entire she dealed with things any teenager would have to deal with, such as school, crushes, and family.

  Casey awoke in the morning, she was happy it was a Saturday. She walked over to her desk, opened her new diary and began to write.

Dear Diary,
    I found a new crush. He makes me smile whenever I look at him. He even has the cutest name scott. Now to get him to notice me. I mean honestly I’m nothing special so why would someone as perfect as him like me?? Well I’ll deal with that later.
Ugh I think I’m in love

          Casey went to school that morning and had a perfectly fine day until second period. Were her old crush sat in her row of the class, he was sweet when she liked him, but now that she was over him he was a jerk. He constantly called her names to hurt her feelings.

Dear Diary,
     Life is so confusing. I sometimes wonder what the point of waking up every morning is. I smile like I’m constantly happy; nobody knows the pain I feel inside. I was on Myspace last night, talking to my friends when I got an awful message. I was so mad last night, Diary; you’re the only person that understands me!!

   Casey got home from school on January fourth, her mom was so happy to not only see a smile on her face but also hear the smile in her voice. Her mom never knew how to communicate with Casey, so they had never become very close. That’s not to say Casey’s mom didn’t love Casey with love her with all her heart. Casey always had felt very unloved because of the fact her parents were divorced and she only had her mom, who she rarely said anything close to “I love you.”

Dear Diary,
  I think things are going to get better
I’m actually happy today, but you know how I get happy one minute depressed the other.
The smile on my face today was actually truly there, like I felt it in my heart!!
We are reading a book titled The diary of a young girl: Anne Frank in reading, it is a heart felt book, About a Jewish girl who lived and died during WWII. I swear I almost cried while reading it. It is making me question life even more though, if there really is good in every person why Adolph Hitler let all those innocent people die.
Ugh now I’m confused AGAIN,

    That week Casey’s mom finally opened up. She had a very long conversation with her daughter, she expressed how much she loved Casey, how proud she was kasey was her daughter, and how sorry she was she let her daughter go through so many years feeling unloved.

Dear Diary,
   I talked to my mommy today, no not just an ordinary conversation.
A conversation about happiness and living up to my potential. I feel better now that we have talked about it, its hard confiding in someone other than you. I guess it will take time but im ready to try.

     Life got quite different for Casey later that month. Casey gained confidence, enough confidence to become friends with Scott. She began to build a relationship with her mother, and called her dad for the first time in 6 years.

Dear Diary,
 Sorry I haven’t written for a while, but you’ll never believe what happened today!!
Scott asked me out!!!
Ugh I am officially the happiest girl ever!!
I feel like im floating on clouds.
I feel like everything is right in the world and nothing can ever go wrong again.

    Life continued getting better for Casey. She smiled more, and cried less. Her and Scott also continued getting closer. She was happiest about the relationship she was started to create with not only one but both her parents.

Dear Diary,
Guess what!!
Okay I can’t wait anymore so I’ll tell you.
I figured out the meaning of life, would you like to know what it is??
Well I’ll tell you anyways.
The meaning of life is to make as many people happy as you can. A smile is contagious so pass them around freely!! When your sad talk about it, it will make you fell a lot better. We all have one thing in common, we have friends and enemys. Some more than others, it depends how you handle you’re feelings. Theres no need to smile when you’re hurt, but no reason to constantly be hurt. Every one person is loved, no matter you convince yourself otherwise. There are people that hurt you and you wonder why they were ever put into you life, well they only make you stronger as a person. They also make you more appreciative of the people you love and care about.
 Thank you for your patience, but I don’t think I need to rely on you as much as before.

P.S Life is confusing but with the help of loved ones it can absolutely PERFECT
